Barrie started playing guitar in the early 60's, originally on Bass, playing with school friends at local youth clubs. Late 60's he changed to rhythm guitar playing with a band called The Blue Diamonds . He spent 2 years in Germany (early 70's) playing with a rock band called Anvil at venues in western Germany and over the Dutch border.
In the late 70's he reverted to Bass again and spent 12 months with an American Country and Western band in Sardinia, Italy, playing at clubs in the capital Cagliari area. Also at this time he played Bass and Rhythm for a British band performing Folk music for the same clubs in Sardinia.
His main influences have been The Stones, Beatles, any Rock 'n' Roll music, but his enjoyment of music is very varied, enjoying most forms.
He is delighted to be playing again after a lengthy break from the music scene, especially with his very good friends The Originals
